Paris Hilton Claps Back Against Fans Commenting on Infant Son's Large Head

The new mom shut down comments about her son, saying he is 'perfectly healthy.'

Paris Hilton clapped back at internet trolls amid "unacceptable" negativity around her 8-month-old son Phoenix Barron's appearance. After the Paris in Love star, 42, shared a sweet mother-son photo from their first trip together to New York City, Hilton was forced to come to her son's defense after the image sparked unkind comments about the size of Phoenix's head.

In the photos, the proud mom cradled her son in her arms, writing in the caption, "My precious angel baby Phoenix's first time in NYC." Rather than oohs and aahs at the adorable images, the comments section quickly flooded with comments about Phoenix's head, one person writing, "y'all he's just got a lot on his mind leave the kid alone." Several people even suggested the youngster may have a medical condition, some suggesting macroephaly and encephalitis, one person commenting, "like what is actually going on I'm not trying to be rude that doesn't seem normal."

Joining a growing number of people defending Phoenix and calling out the negativity, one TikTok user shared a video condemning the discourse, stating, "I think Phoenix is adorable... You know he just has a big head because he has a small body and he's gonna grow into it. And I also wanna bet that he's a much cuter baby than most of these people in the comments were when they were babies... Leave Phoenix alone." Hilton herself ended up addressing the behavior in the comments section of the video.

"There are some sick people in this world," Hilton wrote. "My angel is perfectly healthy. And yes, of course he has been to a doctor, he just has a large brain."

Hilton and her husband, Carter Reum, welcomed Phoenix via surrogate on Jan. 16, 2023. The happy couple, who married in late 2021, did not share news of their little one's arrival until eight days after his birth, with Hilton sharing a sweet photo of her holding his hand, writing, "You are already loved beyond words." She added in a statement to PEOPLE, "it's always been my dream to be a mother, and I'm so happy that Carter and I found each other. We are so excited to start our family together, and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy." Since her son's arrival, the hotel heiress has shared several photos of Phoenix, including a carousel of images to mark him turning 6-months.
