Why Some 'Counting On' Fans Think Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard's Thanksgiving Picture Is 'Fake'

Jill (Duggar) Dillard and her husband Derick Dillard's latest Instagram post documenting their Thanksgiving with friends has some fans calling "fake." After the former Counting On star took to the social media platform to document her "Friendsgiving" away from the Duggar family, many couldn't help point out that the photo appeared staged or digitally edited.

"We had a wonderful Friendsgiving yesterday!" Dillard captioned the post, linking out to her blog. "Haha and the boys had so much fun playing that they were so tired and ready for bed by the time we took this pic."

The photo immediately raised a few eyebrows, with some suggesting that it was evidence of another Duggar family Photoshop fail.

"You can tell this is so fake. Wow," one fan wrote, another responding to the comment by writing that "it seems that jill still thinks shes being filmed for reality TV."

"Photo shop appearance by Derek?" another asked, something that many more seemed to agree with.

"Derek almost looks photoshopped into the pic," one person agreed.

"Is it just me but Derrick looks like he was photoshopped into this pic," another commented.

Dillard did not respond to any of the comments, and several more fans seemed more curious as to why the Dillards didn't spend Thanksgiving with the rest of the Duggar family.

"I find it so sad that you guys seem so separated from the rest of the family. Just because Derek voiced his beliefs, now you are not allow to be pictured together?" one person asked. "i'm hoping that's not how it is but from the outside looking in that's what it looks like. Makes me sad. I'm sure you spend time with family but I feel it's sad that everything they post doesn't really have your sweet family in it."

"Shame on y'all for not being with family," another wrote. "Some people would be so thankful to have family and you guys don't even appreciate it."

While some seemed to suggest that it may be due to a rumored feud taking place between the Dillards and the rest of the Duggar family, Dillard wasn't the only Duggar daughter to spend the holiday away from parents Jim Bob and Michelle. Jessa (Duggar) Seewald spent the holiday with her husband's family, and Joy-Anna took a road trip with her husband to visit family in Texas.
