A new series starring Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman has been announced for a brand new streaming service coming in 2021. Dog Unleashed is the title of the upcoming show, and it will launch on the Unleashed! streaming service, which will focus on true crime and justice content, per Deadline. In addition to Chapman's new series, the streaming service will also feature live court programming and other true crime reality series.

Unlike most of Chapman's past shows, Dog Unleashed will not feature the bounty hunter on the trail of bond skippers. Instead, he will be tracking down the worst criminals in the nation, including rapists, murderers and child molesters. In these new cases, families from all over the U.S. reached out to Chapman for help with crimes against them. Unleashed! launches on Jan. 1. It is unclear if Dog Unleashed will debut the same day.

In 2019, Chapman's most recent series, Dog's Most Wanted, premiered on WGN. "In this new series, Dog, now mostly retired from bounty hunting, hunts wanted fugitives of his choosing that he feels needs his expertise to bring down rather than hunting down people who have jumped bail with his company while dealing with his wife's cancer diagnosis," read a premise. The show aired ten episodes in its first season, but it is unknown if a second season is in the works.

Chapman has also undergone a lot of change in his personal life over the past year, following the death of his wife, Beth Chapman. Beth passed away in June 2019, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Chapman has since found love again, with new girlfriend Francie Frane, whom he is engaged to. Frane previously opened up about the proposal with The Sun, sharing, "I wasn't expecting it at all. I think I had gone to pick up some food and then when I came back he had all the lights turned down with just a few lights on and a bunch of candles lit. So when I came in I was like, 'Wow, this is awesome'. Then he said, 'Come in, sit down because I need to talk to you.'"

She continued, "So I put all the food in the kitchen and I came in and he said, 'I know that God brought you into my life and I don't want to spend one moment of it without you.'" She went on to share, "And he got down on one knee and he opened the ring box and he said, 'Will you marry me and spend the rest of our lives together?' Who can say no to that? It was wonderful." The couple does not yet appear to have set an official wedding date.
