Reiner became a household name for his role in the classic CBS sitcom All in the Family, where he won two Emmy Awards for playing Mike “Meathead” Stivic on the series.

Later on, he became a prolific director, going on to make classic films like Stand by Me, The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally…, and A Few Good Men. Earlier this year, he directed, wrote, produced, and starred in a sequel film to his directorial debut Spinal Tap, titled Spinal Tap II: The End Continues.

He met Michele Singer while filming When Harry Met Sally, and he was so enamored with her that he changed the ending of the classic romcom to ensure that the main characters got together. They eventually married in 1989, and had three children: Jake, Nick, and Romy.
