'Teen Mom's Farrah Abraham Sentenced to Probation After Alleged Assault

Farrah Abraham will serve 18 months of probation after allegedly assaulting a security guard.

Farrah Abraham has been sentenced to nearly two years of probation after the Teen Mom alum allegedly assaulted a security guard at a restaurant in Los Angeles. The 32-year-old reality personality avoided jail time after being accused of slapping the Grandmaster Records restaurant security guard in January 2022, instead being sentenced to 18 months of probation on Oct. 17, according to court records obtained by In Touch Weekly. Abraham also will be required to complete 40 hours of community service.

Abraham took to Instagram after her sentencing to share her thoughts. "Thankful i'm alive, Grateful I don't live in California- Love some Austin Texas ( where security doesn't set up attacks on public figures) & look forward to changing our legal systems surrounding prosecutors and allowing criminal attacks in uniform," she wrote. "As we all should never be assaulted, cuffed, or excessive force while eating dinner or checking out a rooftop. Ive learned that it's better to just stay away from those who have no self control – our system should act on criminal defamation and lies that hurt innocent people every day. Criminal Vs. CIVIL – Justice Always prevails even in a corrupt Judicial systems."

The alleged altercation occurred in January 2022, when the MTV personality was placed under citizen's arrest and released the same day. Six months later, she was officially charged with battery on an officer, despite claiming that she was the one who was "battered and assaulted" by the guard."The staff yet again attack a paying customer and hold me against my will and hurt me," she wrote on her Instagram Story at the time. "The only one out of three. Woman abuse must stop."

She also previously shared video of her arrest on Instagram, writing, "I've had a very traumatizing year and I don't deserve to be attacked, bruised, men on me, and battered." She continued that she looked forward to court, where "justice will be served as always." The former 16 and Pregnant star wrote, "I look forward to my law degree and I look forward to court. Justice will be served as always. Woman it is a scary unsafe world we live in, act upon your rights and always care for others even when everyone hurts you and attacks you. You are resilient and you are stronger then all of the weak people out there who hurt and traumatize us."
