Even country superstars like Miranda Lambert forget the lyrics to their own tunes!
The songstress joined Little Big Town at the band’s show in Nashville, but the surprise performance went a little differently than planned. Lambert joined them for two songs during their show at the Ryman Auditorium, one of which was a cover of the popular Dixie Chicks’ hit, “Goodbye Earl.”

“Earl” went off without a hitch, but when Lambert sang her own song, “Dear Old Sun,” she forgot the lyrics to the second verse!
In the video, the “White Liar” singer looks over at Little Big Town singer Karen Fairchild and says, “I forgot the words,” to the delightful roar of the audience.
The words then click for Lambert, who says, “I got it, I got it. Can we start over? Second verse.” After restarting the verse, the song is executed flawlessly.
The country singer is currently wrapping her summer tour in the U.S. before starting a 3-month international tour that will take her overseas to England and Ireland before she hits Canada.
