Little Big Town has been crushing it on the country charts lately with their recent singles, "Girl Crush" and "Better Man," which both feature Karen Fairchild on lead vocals.

All four members of the band, Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet and Fairchild's husband Jimi Westbrook, are incredibly talented and highlight their vocals in various ways on tracks.

Their latest single, "When Someone Stops Loving You," needed a lead male vocal and Westbrook took on the challenge, with his wife's full support.

"We love the song," Fairchild admitted to The Boot. "It was [recorded] probably towards the last third of the record that we made with Jay Joyce. We do like a good 6/8 country ballad. It's nice to hear Jimi step out there, and it's such a beautiful lyric."

The new single, written by Lori McKenna, Hillary Lindsey and Chase McGill, include lines such as "When someone stops loving you/ It don't make the evening news / It don't keep the sun from rising, the clock from winding, your heart from beating / Even when you want it to / When someone stops loving you."

It was those lines that compelled the country group to add this song to their album, The Breaker.

"I love the kind of everyday man's poetry that's in that song," Fairchild explains. "It's like, we've all felt that, and I love that it says, 'It don't make the evening news.' I think when we heard the demo of them singing it when they wrote it, they were like, 'Everybody else's life goes on, and you're back there in pain.' This song says that really well."
