Charlize Theron is set to kick some major tail in her latest film, Atomic Blonde, and past films like Mad Max: Fury Road have established her as a certified action star. As a result, the actress is currently on more than a few lists of actors to potentially portray the next James Bond.
While the role is currently held by Daniel Craig, the actor has made no secret that he wouldn’t mind passing the baton to someone else, and the Internet has been ablaze with potential replacements for months.

During a recent chat with W magazine, actor Chris Hemsworth offered his own opinion on the net James Bond, suggesting Theron as a potential 007.

“She embodies every ounce of strength and nobility and dignity and integrity that that character should have,” he said. “She’s smart as hell. She’s physically able. Watching her in those fight scenes [in Snow White], doing it in high heels and an eight-foot long gown was even more impressive.”
Theron herself reacted to Hemsworth’s words while speaking to E! News at the Atomic Blonde premiere, with the actress expressing her support for Craig.
“It’s so sweet,” she said. “I love that Chris Hemsworth has my back like that. He’s such a sweetheart. But also, I think Daniel [Craig] is doing it so I want to wish him well, and I absolutely love him as Bond.”

Theron also addressed the rumor during the Women Who Kick Ass panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, where she voiced her support for actor Idris Elba as the next 007, ScreenRant reports.
“I’m in favor of having an Agent 007 that is female, but I leave that for now for Daniel [Craig] or Idris [Elba],” she said.
She did note to E! News, however, that she wouldn’t be opposed to her Atomic Blonde character, Lorraine, making a cameo in the Bond universe.
“Hopefully we can bring Lorraine back and we can have Bond and Lorraine do a little something,” she said. “Why not?”
