Speculating on Ronda Rousey joining WWE is hardly novel. However, if Triple H went on one of the most watched networks in the world and openly entertained the possibility of the UFC star coming to WWE, that’d be a different story.

Earlier today, that’s exactly what happened.

Triple H appeared on ESPN’s First Take this morning and spoke honestly about the prospects of Rousey in WWE:

Ronda has been a huge fan of WWE her whole life, she’s been very adamant about that. She’s done stuff with us before. … She’s a huge fan. I think it’s something that she’s definitely interested and I’ll throw it out right now: if she’s interested I’ll give her the opportunity. We’re all about personalities and that’s what she brings to the table. I think she’s shown it in UFC, she’s shown it in Hollywood, she’s shown it everywhere. Her personality will drive fan interest.”

Ronda Rousey changing careers from MMA to professional wrestling is one of the hottest rumors in the wrestling industry. Should it actually happen, it would be one of the most interesting crossovers into wrestling in several years.

Recent reports suggest that Rousey is preparing to do just that. Fightful.com has reported that Rousey has been referred to Brian Kendrick for training in California, which would be a massive development.

Not only that, but Rousey already has rumored WWE matches Most notably she been attached to a WrestleMania match with Charlotte Flair. However, there’s a competing course that he and Rousey, Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke, and Marina Shafir (the 4-Horsewomen of MMA) may have a Survivor Series match against the 4-horsewomen of WWE (Flair, Banks, Bayley, Lynch).

Manny folks with WWE ties have begun to speak openly about Rousey in WWE, too. Given its decades of reinforcement, Jim Ross‘ opinion is one of wrestling’s most respected. So when he makes an assertive point about Ronda Rousey coming to WWE, we take it as near dogma.

TMZ Sports recently caught up with Ross at an airport where they asked him about the prospect of Ronda Rousey in WWE.

“She’s going to be a big star. Somewhere it’s inevitable. I see her in Wrestlemania someday. Too great an opportunity for her to pass up and the WWE to pass up. It’s a match made in heaven,” Ross said.

it certainly feels like this a matter of when and not if. Both sides are genuinely interested in that other and ROousy actually doing some professional wrestling ring-wor seems to clinch this. Ronda Rousey will be in WWE, we’ll just have to wait for it.
