This Might Be Jinger (Duggar) Vuolo’s Most Controversial Outfit Yet

Jinger (Duggar) Vuolo seems to be “rebelling” again! That is, if her latest outfit on Instagram is any indication.

Vuolo’s husband, Jeremy Vuolo, took to social media to share a snapshot of his wife wearing clothing that’s likely not Duggar family-approved.

“Her first pair of J’s. Retro 7’s,” wrote Jeremy, a soccer pro-turned-pastor. There’s nothing racy about the tame Instagram photos, but because of Vuolo’s strict religious upbringing, the wardrobe selection is significant on many levels.

In addition to her shoes, the young woman sported a Nike t-shirt, which holds interesting significance to the reality family, Yahoo reports.

In 2014, Jana, Jessa, Jill and Jinger Duggar published Growing Up Duggar, a book in which they explain that they dress modestly because their bodies are “a special gift from God that He intends for it to be shared only with our future husband.”

Interestingly, the sisters also revealed that they used the code word “nike” to warn men in their family that a provocatively dressed woman was crossing their path. The word made the men look down at their shoes to avoid temptation.

So is Vuolo now declaring her freedom by flashing the Nike logo? Tough to say, but since she tied the knot, she’s made several headlines simply for wearing pants and shorts, a major break from Duggar rules and traditions.

Fans of the Counting On star seem to be divided about the changes in her style.

“I really hope she chose to wear the word ‘Nike’ across her chest just to spite her parents omg,” a user wrote.

“I am so happy Jinger that your whole life is changing and your getting to experience new things. Shorts and pants, who would have thought. I love seeing you and you wonderful hubby going through life,” another user commented.

Others were of the mind that Vuolo is simply submitting to her husband now, rather than her parents.

“She’s not being her own person, she’s just being Jeremy’s dress up doll. She went from trying to please her parents to trying to please Jeremy. I don’t believe for one second that this was Jinger’s inner style before she met Jeremy. It’s just what he has pushed on her,” one Instagrammer added.

Counting On returns in September, so only time will tell whether this new style direction is addressed on the series.
