The bond between man and animal is a special relationship that can often defy expectation. Eduardo Serio, a zookeeper at The Black Jaguar-White Tiger Foundation in Mexico City, experienced first hand how extraordinary animals can be when one of the tigers he trains likely saved his life.
Serio clearly must take really good care of these giant cats because the tiger, named Aztlan, was willing to fight off one of the leopards to save his life. In the video, Serio can be seen petting the lions as Aztlan lays on the ground nearby. As the zookeeper is enjoying the company of the lions, he is oblivious to the lurking leopard on the other side of the enclosure.

The leopard, Dharma, looks to be in attack mode as she darts toward Serio. However, Aztlan the tiger was aware of the leopard’s sneaky movements right away and was able to fend off the leopard in Serio’s defense.
Serio then reprimanded Dharma for her attack, and thanked Aztlan the tiger for looking out for him.
Check out the amazing video above to see the astonishing loyalty between Aztlan the tiger and Eduardo Serio, the zookeeper at The Black Jaguar-White Tiger Foundation.
The footage was first posted in October of 2015, but has since gone viral after it was posted on Reddit. The video has been viewed over 1 million times since being shared on YouTube.
How would you react if you were in the cage with the lions, leopards, and tigers and one of the animals came darting towards you in attack mode?
