Netflix has renewed dark family drama Bloodline for a third season. The ten-episode season will premiere in 2017.

The third season will be under the direction of showrunners Todd Kessler and Zelman, and will bring back the principal cast members including: Kyle Chandler, Sissy Spacek, Linda Cardellini, Norbert Leo Butz, and Ben Mendelsohn as members of the Rayburn family that the show revolves around, according to Variety. No reports have surfaced yet as to whether the show will continue to shoot in the Florida Keys as it's done for the first two seasons.

VP of Original Content at Netflix, Cindy Holland stated: "Todd [Kessler], Daniel [Zelman], and Glenn [Kessler] have created a riveting family saga featuring one of the most talented ensembles in the history of television. We can't wait to see what the next chapter holds for the all-too-human Rayburns."

The first season of the series was generally well-received by critics as to where Season 2 garnered mixed reviews after premiering on Netflix on May 27. Only 2.4% of Netflix subscribers sampled the first season of Bloodline in its first thirty days of availability, according to data from Luth Research, which tracks Netflix viewing on computers, tablets, and phones.

However, what is most important to Netflix is whether their original shows keep subscribers continuing to stick around. High viewership and critical acclaim aren't necessarily must-haves for the streaming service, according to Variety.

Back in May, star Kyle Chandler joked to TVLine that the Rayburns had enough secrets to keep the series going "until I'm 92."

Lucky for fans of the original Netflix series, the streaming service agrees with Chandler and believes there are more stories to tell from the Rayburn family for at least one more season.

Look for Bloodline returning to Netflix in 2017, just don't share your Netflix password with your friends!
