Reality star Kim Kardashian has finally reunited with her rapper husband Kanye West after what has been a dangerously hectic 12 hours.
On Monday, the 35-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star met up with her husband at the Teterboro airport in New Jersey. E News reports that Kim was joined by Kris Jenner, Corey Gamble and a heavy security detail.
Kim and Kanye are now headed to their New York City apartment where a large amount of security will be standing guard
Kim was staying at No Address Hotel while visiting the City of Lights for Paris Fashion Week when masked men dressed as police forced their way into her apartment. Early on Monday morning, the perpetrators bound her with tape at gunpoint, gagged her, and locked her in the bathroom as they proceeded to rummage through her room. They robbed Kim of a jewelry box worth an estimated $6.7 million in jewelry and a ring worth an estimated $4 million. Also, Kim's purse, two cell phones, and 1,000 euros were stolen.
A source close to the situation said: "She begged for them to let her live and [said] she has babies at home. Then they wrapped her mouth in tape and put her in the bathtub. She thought they were for sure going to kill her."
According to the French Interior Ministry, the robbers threatened the concierge with a weapon, handcuffed him, and then forced him to give them access to Kanye's private apartment at the hotel (where Kim was staying).
At the time of the robbery, Kanye was in New York City performing at the Meadows Music and Arts Festival. He abruptly canceled his set and told the crowd, "I'm sorry, family emergency - I have to stop the show."
Fortunately, Kim and Kanye's two children (North West, 3, and Saint West, 9 months) were not in the apartment at the time of the incident.
UPDATE: Kim Kardashian and Kanye have officially made it safely back to New York City. The couple showed up back in town with a crazy amount of security present.
A caravan of about 10 vehicles pulled up to the couple's residence as 15-20 bodyguards monitored the situation and everyone in the area. The NYPD is also on the scene, according to TMZ.
