Sam Hunt's latest single "Body Like a Back Road" has been the song of the summer for many country fans.

The single just topped Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart for the 25th week straight, making it a new record.

Hunt's hit song broke the previous record of 24 weeks set in 2013 by Florida Georgia Line for their debut hit "Cruise." That record-breaking hit benefited from their new collaboration with Nelly, although they did additional weeks with the FGL-only version in both 2012 and 2013, Taste of Country reports.

Before then, Leroy Van Dyke's "Walk on By" had the solo record for holding the top spot for 19 weeks, although charts were calculated differently back in 1961.

The current Billboard Hot Country Songs chart considers radio airplay, streaming and sales figures.

"Body Like a Back Road" is the third-most downloaded song throughout all genres of 2017 and the most downloaded in country music. Hunt recently celebrated the song hitting triple-platinum for three million downloads.

This is the first single from of Hunt's highly anticipated second studio album. As for when the album will be released, Hunt says there isn't a set date, but hopefully when his schedule slows down.

"I'm in a place in my career and in my life where I'm not willing to give music 100 percent of me anymore," the recently married singer said. "I did that for four years, and it was fruitful as far as my career goes, but everything else in my life had to be put on hold, and I'm just not willing to do that for years and years at a time."
