Despite recovering from a stroke this past spring, Lynn was humbled by the honor, saying in a press release, “I am so excited for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s exhibit to open this month. It’s gonna show off my 50-some-odd years in country music, and I’m so proud to share my life and music with the museum. Y’all come see us.”

Fans will learn more about her life with the exhibit, that features some of her most cherished items, including a handwritten manuscript of the Coal Miner’s Daughter, the 1956 sewing machine she used to make her own stage clothes early in her career, and her Presidential Medal of Freedom given to her by President Barack Obama in 2013.

Eager fans can also expect to see her iconic, red dress embellished with beads and sequins, worn by Loretta on the cover of her 1968 album, Fist City.

Lynn has been a country music staple since she was just 14 years old. After suffering a stroke in May, she was forced to cancel all her remaining tour dates for this year as she recovered, however, she has shared she would like to hit the road again in 2018.
