Tiffani Thiessen Celebrates National Pepperoni Pizza Day with HORMEL Pepperoni (Exclusive)

Tiffani Thiessen spoke to PopCulture.com about how she's taking Pepperoni Time Off for National Pepperoni Pizza Day.

White Collar star Tiffani Thiessen is celebrating National Pepperoni Pizza Day with a very special partnership with HORMEL® Pepperoni, and she told PopCulture.com all about it. The actress is no stranger to cooking, having put much of her focus on it over the last several years between her own cooking show, Dinner at Tiffani's, and multiple cookbooks. Like many people, she's "always had a love for food."

"Ever since I was little. I used to love being in the kitchen with all the women in my family, cooking together and creating that special time together," Thiessen continued. "And I just love what food does. I love how people come together, usually at a meal or a holiday, and I just love the essence of what that does. And, of course, I love to eat really good food. Especially pepperoni pizza."

Speaking of pepperoni pizza, Thiessen has teamed up with HORMEL® Pepperoni to celebrate National Pizza Day on Sep. 20. The partnership came "natural," according to Thiessen, as she admitted she's a huge fan of the brand, and it's "always in my fridge. And if someone were to ask me what is my favorite pizza? It's going to be pepperoni pizza, for sure. It's one of those toppings that is always at the top of my list. So it was a natural sort of marriage, per se."

The Saved by the Bell alum shared more details about the new campaign for the national holiday, revealing that HORMEL® is "putting a really fun initiative together, calling on all fans of pepperoni to take the day off for National Pepperoni Pizza Day." She continued, "They're calling it Pepperoni Time Off, which is actually the website as well, pepperonitimeoff.com. And they're going to actually get people to declare their idea of what they would do for the day off to celebrate the special occasion. And then one person is going to win a really fun trip to either Chicago or New York, which are two of the probably favorite cities for pizza in our country."

With all of this talk of Pepperoni Time Off, what would Tiffani Thiessen do for it? She knows "exactly what I would do for pepperoni, it's probably what I will be doing." The actress shared, "I'm going to put my feet up, I'm going to wear stretchy pants. I'm going to eat HORMEL® Pepperoni pizza, of course. I'm probably going to turn the phone off. I might read a book and probably open a really nice bottle of wine." 

As Thiessen said, fans can send their "PTO" intention to colleagues, friends, spouses, or teachers asking for coverage of all responsibilities on Sep. 20 in order to enjoy HORMEL® Pepperoni on perfectly crafted pizzas.
