Singer-songwriter Sinead O'Connor has fans concerned about her mental health after posting a 12-minute video claiming she was suicidal and living out of a New Jersey motel.

The 50-year-old Grammy-winner shared the video to her personal Facebook page. In the heartbreaking clip, O'Connor tells fans her current life situation, which comes after two years of "wandering."

'I am now living in a Travelodge motel in the a-- end of New Jersey," she said. "I'm a 5'4' little f---ing woman wandering the world for two years by myself."

The "Nothing Compares 2 U" singer says suicide is a present thought in her mind, and her love for others as the only reason she's still alive.

"I'm all by myself. And there's absolutely nobody in my life except my doctor, my psychiatrist - the sweetest man on earth, who says I'm his hero - and that's about the only f---ing thing keeping me alive at the moment... and that's kind of pathetic.

"I'm not staying alive for me. If it was just for me I'd be gone. Straight away back to my mum... because I've walked this earth alone for two years now as punishment for being mentally f---ing ill and getting angry that no one would f---ing take care of me."

O'Connor claims her situation was caused by being cast out by her family due to her mental health issues. She says she made the clip to show people what it's like "one of millions" suffering from mental health disorders. She also encourages her fans to go and reach out to mentally ill people in their communities lend a hand.

"Mental illness, it's like drugs, it doesn't give a s--- who you are, and equally what's worse, it's the stigma, it doesn't give a s--- who you are," she says. "Suddenly all the people who are supposed to be loving you and taking care of you are treating you like s---. It's like a witch hunt."

Since posting the video, O'Connor's posted to Facebook a few more times, appearing to be on the lookout for a safer place to stay. She's also in pain trying to pass a kidney stone, which she mentions in the video.

"I'm awake alone, in labor with the kidney stone still trying to get through the tubes to my bladder," she wrote after the video was shared. "All males who claim they 'love' me are sleeping peacefully. Elsewhere."
