Oprah Winfrey is opening up about the first time that Mindy Kaling told her she was expecting. The Mindy Project star evidently didn’t need to sit down for an interview with Winfrey to reveal the exciting news.
Winfrey and Kaling are starring together in the upcoming big screen adaptation of A Wrinkle In Time. While standing in the film’s press line at Disney’s D23 expo, Kaling spilled the beans that she was expecting a child.

An insider close to Kaling explained that the pregnancy was “an unexpected surprise” for the 38-year-old actress. In the past, she has been open about wanting to have children.
“I think I’ve decided that unlike everything else in my life, I’m going to be fast and loose about kids,” she said while talking with Yahoo! Style. “I’m going to not actively plan, but if it happens, it would happen.”

Winfrey and Kaling’s upcoming film, A Wrinkle In Time, is expected to hit theaters in March of 2018.
