Miley Cyrus has been around the country music world since she was born.
The former Hannah Montana star’s dad is Billy Ray Cyrus, the singer of the hit “Achy Breaky Heart.” But what some people may not know is that Dolly Parton is the pop singer’s godmother.

Cyrus grew up looking up to the country legend along with her sense of style and her humbled personality. During an interview with Cosmopolitan, Cyrus revealed her favorite thing about Parton.
“Having access to her closet! Ha. Seriously, watching the way she treats people with love and respect. Always a reminder to me and my family of what is important. Never let success change your heart,” Cyrus admitted.
It appears Cyrus may be following more in the footsteps of Parton and her dad by releasing a more country sound in her new music.
