5 Movie Actors Who Got High While Filming
Drug abuse is a well-known problem in Hollywood, but it usually doesn't interfere with the film [...]
1. Carrie Fisher ('The Empire Strikes Back')
Carrie Fisher notoriously battled addiction throughout her career, and she was more than open about her past use.
She revealed back in 2010 that she had done cocaine while filming the The Empire Strikes Back. She said she wasn't really into coke at the time, but she just wanted to get high on something.
"We did cocaine on the set of Empire, in the ice planet," Fisher said. "I didn't even like coke that much. It was just a case of getting on whatever train I needed to take to get high."

Another iconic actor who opened up about his drug use on set was Jack Nicholson.
In 2016, he talked about smoking a lot of marijuana while delivering the UFO campfire speech in Easy Rider.
"We were all stoned the night we shot the campfire scene," he said. "The speech about the UFOs looks improvised, but it was actually almost verbatim from the script. The story about me smoking 155 joints - that's a little exaggerated. But each time I did a take or an angle, it involved smoking almost an entire joint."
"After the first take or two, the acting job became reversed," he added. "Instead of being straight and having to act stoned at the end, I was now stoned at the beginning and having to act straight, and then gradually letting myself return to where I was - which was very stoned."

Wesley Snipes has had his ups and downs over the years, but he was at a career peak when he filmed the Blade trilogy.
A career high apparently the wasn't the high he was soaring on, according to Patton Oswalt, who appeared alongside Snipes in Blade: Trinity.
"Wesley [Snipes] was just f---ing crazy in a hilarious way," Oswalt said. "He wouldn't come out of his trailer, and he would smoke weed all day. Which is fine with me, because I had all these DVDs that I wanted to catch up on."
prevnext4. Eminem ('8 Mile')
Eminem has divulged details about his drug addiction in past interviews and his music over the years.
Apparently, his pill addiction all began while he was starring in the film loosely based on his life, 8 Mile.
"We were doing 16 hours on the set, and you had a certain window where you had to sleep," he said. "One day somebody gave me an Ambien, and it knocked me the f--- out. I was like, 'I need this all the time.' So I got a prescription. After four or five months, your tolerance starts building. You start breaking off another piece of the pill that's supposed to be for tomorrow. Then, when I got off probation for my felonies [in 2003], and I didn't have to drop urine anymore, the reins came off."
From there, his new addiction caused him to take 40-60 Valium and 20-30 Vicodin every day.
prevnext5. Gunnar Hanson ('The Texas Chainsaw Massacre')
One of the most famous horror films of all time was apparently filmed with drug use.
Gunnar Hanson played Leatherface in the 1974 landmark The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and he says that there was someone supplying pot brownies to entire cast and crew.
Henson accidentally ate a few too many and got rather high off of them. They also reportedly led to close calls with some of the chainsaws used on set.
"I know I ate a couple - or more," he said. "They were really good. Smoothed me right out. I don't really know who was stoned. I know I was."
