Coco Austin has no problem talking about one of the most controversial motherhood topics: breastfeeding. Since her daughter Chanel was born, she has shared her opinions on the benefits of it, as well as the hardships that many mothers face — yet don’t talk about.
Most recently, Austin opened up about having to start switching to a bottle for little Chanel, PEOPLE reports. Austin said that after Chanel was a bit congested, it was difficult for the baby to breastfeed. So, she started to force her to use a bottle.

“Now that it’s cleared up, she wants the bottle more,” Austin admitted. “[I]t hurts my feelings…”.
She readily revealed that she is a bit obsessed with breastfeeding. She called breast milk “liquid gold,” understanding all of the great benefits it provides for growing babies. However, because Chanel is growing, she needs more milk, which can be difficult for a mother to produce. So, Austin has talked about the process of switching between breast milk and formula.
Austin further admitted that at first, she wasn’t even sure if she would be able to breastfeed due to her breast implants. After her doctor confirmed that she would be able to, she only hoped that she would end up being the type of woman who could breastfeed, fully understanding that some women can’t.
“[My] whole family has been really pro-breastfeeding,” she told E! News. “[Chanel] too to the boob instantly too. She was a pro.”
