Watch: Tom Hiddleston Discusses Media Scrutiny Over Relationship With Taylor Swift

Tom Hiddleston isn't giving anything away about Taylor Swift- but he did discuss their relationship in a roundabout way during a live interview with The Hollywood Reporter on Friday.

When asked a direct question about his relationship with Swift, the actor had an answer ready, not mentioning Swift by name but noting that the media attention he has been receiving due to his high profile relationship is just something that comes along with being someone in the spotlight.

"We all live in a world where every phone has a camera and there's nothing new, really, about the spotlight on me, I think that's what happens when you're a public figure," Hiddleston answered.

"I've learned that there are many sides to a story, and that sometimes there are a lot of stories out there which are false and the hardest thing is to try to not let those falsehoods affect your own life, that's what I would say."

Hiddleston's last statement could mean that multiple stories printed about him and Swift have been false, although no word on whether a recent rumor claiming the actor was planning on proposing to the pop star has any validity.

"Tom is planning to propose very soon," a source told Us Weekly in July. "Taylor's totally into him," a Swift source added. "She is so swept off her feet."

Hiddleston has confirmed in the past that the pair's relationship is not a publicity stunt, but as for those proposal rumors, we'll just have to wait and see.
