Bindi Irwin Shares the 'Defining Moment' in Her Relationship with Boyfriend Chandler Powell

To Bindi Irwin, family and wildlife conservation go hand-in-hand, so it is no surprise that it was a big deal to her when her boyfriend joined the zoo's team.

The Dancing with the Stars winner shared a sweet story about the moment she first saw her boyfriend Chandler Powell in his khaki work uniform during the couple's first joint interview.

"It's this really big thing for me," she explained to Entertainment Tonight. "It was kind of one of those moments that was a real defining moment for me, because you know, it's only the people who are the closest to us that get their khakis.So it was kind of like, this really big step."

She added to her boyfriend, "I love seeing you in khaki now. It makes me so happy."

Powell helped on his first crocodile tagging trip in 2016, even wrangling his first croc.

"The very first place you got to wear your khakis was on the croc trip," Irwin recalled. "It was a cool way to break in your khakis."

At the time, Irwin posted a sweet photo congratulating the 19-year-old.

"Yeah, that was incredible," Powell added. "Last month, we were up in far north Queensland on the Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve, and we spent a whole month just catching crocodiles in the wild."
