Dustin Lynch is giving fans a taste of his new album with the release of a new song titled “Love Me or Leave Me Alone,” which also features vocals from Little Big Town‘s Karen Fairchild.

The slow, looping track details the moment in a relationship when one party decides whether or not to go all in or let things go. Lynch handles the song’s verses before Fairchild joins in on the chorus, providing her smooth vocals to the track.

“But we both know that there comes a time / And I hate to sound harsh or unkind / But love me or leave me alone / Hold me or just let me go,” Lynch implores as Fairchild follows. “Cause I’ve had this fight for so long / So, baby, love me, love me, love me or leave me alone.”

The singer has been playing the song live for audiences since last fall, The Boot shares, debuting it on Luke Bryan‘s Kill the Lights Tour.

The first two singles from Lynch’s upcoming album, Current Mood, “Seein’ Red” and “Small Town Boy,” were both more up-tempo tracks, and “Love Me or Leave Me Alone” helps show listeners a new side to the country singer.

Current Mood drops on Sept. 8, and Lynch will kick off his Ride or Die Tour on Nov. 3 to promote the release.
