Everybody celebrate! Tyra Banks is about to become a teacher at Stanford for…wait for it…personal branding.
No, this is not a joke. The former Victoria’s Secret model will be a guest lecturer for M.B.A. students looking to expand their personal brand (yes, because this is now a real thing college students are learning). Banks will be working with Allison Kruger on the course and it will kick off with a video project titled Project You: Building and Extending Your Personal Brand. Banks does not seem to be dilly dallying around with the class either. She told The Wall Street Journal, “If I see somebody not paying attention, I’m gonna call on them.”

Other celebrities are doing the whole “teaching thing” as well. Stars like LL Cool J, Oprah and even Angelina Jolie, who will be a professor at Georgetown University, are enlisting to help students understand the branding and media industries.
It will be very interesting to see how this goes with Banks at Stanford, as we all know she’s had some pretty intense blowouts in her past.
