Did Eric Bischoff Just Ruin Kurt Angle's Big WWE Secret?

One of the best things to do as a WWE fan this week was to guess what Raw GM, Kurt Angle is hiding. With the big reveal set for this Monday's show, playful theories have graduated to plot-ruining leaks.

On a recent episode of his podcast, Bischoff On Wrestling, former WCW Boss Eric Bischoff, divulged WWE's big secret for the upcoming Kurt Angle segment:

"Uhh, alright...I'm sure I'm going to be burning a bridge with this one, cause I'm not supposed to know about this. And hopefully, nobody gets into any trouble over this because leaks happen, right? But you remember the storyline with AJ and Claire?...WWE is ripping that off. Dixie is Claire and Kurt is AJ.

Co-host Nick Hausman would ask:

"Wow. So you're saying Dixie and Kurt have been having an affair? He's been cheating on his wife?

Bischoff confirmed:

"I'm saying the storyline, that everyone is alluding to, is shockingly familiar to AJ and Claire."

For backstory, TNA (now GFW) ran an eerily similar storyline back in 2012. Hinging upon blackmail and illegitimate children, AJ Styles and Dixie Carter played the lead roles in TNA's version of the Maury Povich Show.

Per Bischoff, this is exactly what WWE is running with. We still don't know who Bischoff's source is, but he's speaking definitively. His claims add up too, as Dixie Carter has been oddly relevant in WWE over the past week. She made an appearance on the WWE 24: Kurt Angle documentary on top of making subtle tweet's about being in a tendency for this next RAW in Nashville, TN. The pairing of Angle and Carter is not random either, as they have a shared history in TNA dating back to the early 2000's.

In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Carter discussed her bond with the WWE Hall of Famer and pride for the time they spent together in TNA.

"Kurt and I both took a chance on each other. The results were some of the best matches in the history of the business. From the beginning, I felt a big responsibility to help Kurt on a personal level and on a professional level. Professionally, there has never been a more complete wrestler, ever. Kurt is also a great talker and so charismatic, and maybe he's the best in-ring talent, ever. He also made sure that everyone he wrestled had their best match. He can look back on his work with Sting, EC3, Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and so many others, and the common denominator in those matches is Kurt. He only has one gear, and it's all out, but that's also been his biggest challenge."

It sure sounds like Dixie is a good fit for Kurt Angle's on-screen scandal. While Bischoff may have leaked the ending, we still have plenty of room to speculate. Stay tuned, folks.
