WWE Survivor Series Predictions
Survivor Series, the last of the WWE's 'big four' events, is this Sunday and the stakes have never [...]
WWE Cruiserweight Title Match: The Brian Kendrick (c) vs. Kalisto
Stipulation: If Kalisto wins, the entire Cruiserweight Division moves to Smackdown Live
ComicBook.com's Prediction: The Brian Kendrick (5 - 3)
Brandon Gnetz: Somehow the cruiserweights have become the adorable kitten that no one wants to keep in the break-up. We all know 205 Live will be airing after Smackdown. Obviously this means Kalisto is bringing the Cruiserweight championship and the entire Cruiserweight division with him.
Lan Pitts: This spot-heavy match should be one hell of a show if time allows, and TBK is about to experience pure stardom once again.
Dallas Jackson: Personally, I am no fan of THE Brian Kendrick, but Kalisto doesnt get this one. While I think it would be a good move to make the cruiserweight to have its own "show" like NXT and 201, it won't happen.
Christian Hoffer: From a logistical sense, it makes sense for Kalisto to win this and give the cruiserweights a fresh start over on Smackdown. Kalisto is really good at "lucha things" and deserves a chance to shine outside of his poorly booked US Title run.
Intercontinental Title Match - The Miz (c) vs. Sami Zayn
ComicBook.com's Prediction: The Miz (5 - 3)
Chris Killian: The Miz because Raw has enough belts AND he's the best heel champ in a long time. He's better with the belt.
Lucas Siegel: Sami Zayn comes out on top and the Intercontinental Title goes to Raw. If that push can't work for Sami, nothing can at this point. Miz moves into a rivalry/run at the World Title again on Smackdown to compensate.
Matthew Mueller: The Miz retains, because Raw can't have both the US title and Intercontinental title. That's a little lopsided.
Brandon Gnetz: What was the point of giving Dolph the IC title again? Eh, either way, Sami Zayn gets the win, but ... wait for it ... gets traded to Smackdown. But that doesn't make any sense, you say? True, but this is wrestling.
Survivor Series Tag Teams Match
Team Smackdown Live: Heath Slater, Rhyno, Hype Bros, American Alpha, The Usos & Tyler Breeze & Fandango vs. Team Raw: Enzo Amore and Big Cass, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, The Shining Stars, Cesaro and Sheamus, and New Day
ComicBook.com's Prediction: Team Smackdown Live (6-2)
Christian Hoffer: If the WWE is smart, this is the match where American Alpha puts the world on notice. Jason Jordan and Chad Gable are the complete package, but they haven't had a good showcase since coming up to the main roster. Smackdown takes this, showing once again that Raw's tag team division is a hot, hot mess.
Jim Viscardi: This match has all the makings to be one hell of a hot mess, but I think we're going to get something akin to a Money In The Bank Match. We're going to see some fantastic double, triple & maybe even quadruple team moves, killer spots and just bodies everywhere. I think Raw takes this one home.
Lan Pitts: If Gallows and Anderson don't come out looking like absolute monster heels, they need to wrap it up. Team Smackdown stars are a weird assortment, but if I get to see a Magic Killer on Mojo Rawley, I'll get my money's worth.
Lucas Siegel: Team RAW can't find a way to work together with so much crazy in-fighting, and American Alpha basically takes them single-handedly.
Survivor Series Women's Match
Team Smackdown: Team Smackdown Live: Becky Lynch, Nikki Bella, Carmella, Alexa Bliss & Naomi (w/coach Natalya) vs. Team Raw: Charlotte Flair, Bayley, Nia Jax, Alicia Fox & Sasha Banks
ComicBook.com's Prediction: Team Raw (5-3)
Dallas Jackson: Team Raw wins this because it is the exponentially better team. Sometimes it is just that simple.
Chris Killian: Team Raw, because The Boss (Sasha Banks) is on this team.
Matthew Mueller: Team Smackdown takes this, especially after Team Raw ambushing them. This facilitates Raw to trade one of their superstars to Smackdown the following night. Hopefully that is Sasha Banks.
Brandon Gnetz: I love Becky Lynch as much as the rest of us, but Team RAW is stacked. The Boss, The Queen and The Nia Jax will be too much for the second tier Smackdown ladies team to overcome.
Christian Hoffer: I'm going Team Smackdown with the "upset" of the night. Team RAW is stacked, but I could see either Becky Lynch or Nikki Bella coming back from a 3 to 1 deficit to win. Wouldn't be the first time a team has fallen behind 3-1 and won this year....
Survivor Series Men's Match
Team Raw: Kevin Owens & Chris Jericho & Braun Strowman & Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins) vs. Team Smackdown Live: AJ Styles & Randy Orton & Dean Ambrose & Shane McMahon & Bray Wyatt
ComicBook.com's Prediction: Team Raw (6-2)
Jim Viscardi: You're going to have the Undertaker return to the show that made him famous (after Wrestlemania) and lose? No way jose. Hopefully this is where we see three things happen: 1) Owens and Jericho begin to breakup. 2) A SHIELD reunion and 3) Someone will rest in peace.
Lan Pitts: Since they can't give Rollins the title right now I'm saying Rollins gets the pin on Orton, giving Raw the victory. Having Undertaker show up this week with a warning sets up his rumored match at WrestleMania with Orton as well. Now if Undertaker shows up at all is a completely different wager.
Lucas Siegel: Team RAW takes the match, but with at least two twists: Ambrose helps Roman/Seth and we see the SHIELD reunion that maybe only Jim and I want so desperately. Orton screws something up with regards to 'Taker, starting a feud there. Finally, Shane "wins" the match, but a ref distraction leads to the loss. Oh, and in not at all a twist, Bray Wyatt is worthless in the whole thing.
Matthew Mueller: Team RAW takes the title, and Braun Strowman is laid to rest in peace.
Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg
ComicBook.com's Prediction: Brock Lesnar (6-1)
Chris Killian: Brock wins, but Goldberg will probably get screwed somehow. I don't see this being his send off, I see him returning for Wrestlemania.
Dallas Jackson: There has been nothing about the reappearance of Goldberg that has been worth the return. There is no logical way he beats Lesnar. There is also no logical reason to think that WWE brass just let him get punished like he should. It'll end in a DQ somehow, someway. And, it'll be lame. THIS may be my bathroom break.
Jim Viscardi: I'm sure 2K split the check on this one so whatever price Goldberg asked to lose, Vince was okay with. It's been a weird build to this match. I'm excited to see it and hope not to be heartbroken by a lame match.
Matt Mueller: Goldberg goes over, but Lesnar beats the living snot out of him after the bell rings, paving the way for another star's return.
Brandon Gnetz: I expect a valiant effort, but Goldberg will be just too oldberg to get a second straight win over the Beast. Lesnar picks up the win, but I expect a run-in from the man Goldberg embarrassed a few weeks back on RAW, Rusev.
