Wyatt was on fire heading into WrestleMania 33 as the WWE Champion. However, after losing to Randy Orton and getting shipped off to Raw, the Eater of Worlds has been grasping to find any kind of momentum.
The feud with Rollins began after both men failed to win the Extreme Rules Fatal Five Way for the chance to face Brock Lesnar. With both stars needing something to occupy the rest of their summer, Wyatt randomly interrupted Rollins the following night on Raw.

Both stars have done the best they can to spark interest in the feud, but with no real backstory, it limped into tonight’s pay per view. Thankfully, both Rollins and Wyatt were big enough stars to get fans invested in the outcome.
The biggest knock on Bray Wyatt has been that WWE continues to give him the same storyline with every top babyface. A lot of mind games with very few victories. Coming into tonight’s match Wyatt’s career record was 182-424-10. WWE likes to say wins and losses don’t matter in the New Era, but there’s only so many times fans can buy into Wyatt being a threat when he can’t back up his voodoo magic with actual victories.

As for Rollins, despite the loss The Kingslayer will still be in line for another main event push as WWE has him front and center on the cover of WWE 2K18.
If recent WWE history is any indication, this feud is just getting started.
