Earlier this week on Monday Night Raw, New Day’s Big E and Kofi Kingston took on Bullet Club members Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.
Though the team ended up with a victory that night, courtesy of a rollup pin from Big E, they paid a big price. After the match ended both Gallows and Anderson dished out some punishment to both participants at length.

Even Woods coming out to ringside couldn’t stave them off, and they focused much of their attack on Big E. After dropping him to the mat multiple times, they finished him off by ramming his lower body into the turnbuckle, and that is ultimately what did him in.
WWE has announced that after the match Big E was taken to the trainer’s room, and underwent several tests and exams. Now they’ve confirmed that he indeed suffered a contusion to the affected area, and it is not known at this time when he will return to action.
Now, with injuries in the WWE, you never know what is kayfabe and what is real, but Big E took quite a beating in that match, so it wouldn’t be hard to believe that he is indeed injured. Either way, it looks like the New Day is down a member, and hopefully, Big E returns to the ring soon.
You can see where the injury occurred in the match video above.
