Alexa Bliss is still your RAW Women’s Champion even though she technically lost the match. Sasha Banks won via count-out, allowing Bliss to still hold on her championship.
Bliss would feign an injury as the referee counted her out. When the bell sounded, Bliss smiled, knowing she had gotten one over on The Boss. Banks chased the smirking Bliss and the two had a nice tussle by the ramp leading to Banks hitting her patented flying knees to get the best of the champion. It looks like Sasha will be staying in the title picture for at least a few more weeks.

This match was hastily built as WWE only gave the story two weeks to develop. Banks got involved winning a Women’s Gauntlett Match on RAW a few weeks ago. It was a contest utterly dominated by Nia Jax but Banks got to play the part of dragon slayer when she submitted Jax via the Banks statement. Alexa Bliss would come out and ruin the freshly crowned number one contender’s moment.
The following week, the two competed in a 6-Woman Tag match which ended in Banks submitting Bliss.
And that was all we got in leading into tonight.

For Bliss, this added another impressive win to her catalog. 2017 has been quite the year for Ms. Bliss as she’s become the first ever woman to win both the RAW and SmackDown championships. She climbed the ranks at a torrid pace and has unconditionally become one of WWE’s best talents.
It’s clear that WWE is steadfast in their support of her now that she has been two of the figurehead of the Women’s Revolution in consecutive pay-per-views. Even she left her last feud with Bayley as the victory it was a program which no one actually won. On top of a series of uncompetitive matches, Bayley vs. Alexa will be remembered for the Bayley this is Your lIfe Segment al0ong with other scream-worthy microphones moments. As Champion, Bliss has transcended those rough patches but they have seemingly buried Bayley.
Just from tonight, it’s hard to forecast what’s next. Even though Bliss and Banks are capable of carrying a long term m feud, that may not be the plan. Early rumors have Bliss locking up against Nia Jax en route to a SummerSlam blowoff. We will know more tomorrow at RAW.
