We already knew that WWE 2K17 was going to suplex city this year, featuring Brock Lesnar at its cover star, but now the first entrants into this year’s game aside from Lesnar have been revealed.
Joining Lesnar, advocate Paul Heyman, and pre-order incentive Goldberg are Aiden English, Booker T, Brian Pillman, Brie Bella, Chris Jericho, Diego, Erick Rowan, Fernando, Heath Slater, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Jim Neidhart, Konnor, Larry Zbyszko, Nikki Bella, R-Truth, Simon Gotch, Ultimate Warrior, and Victor (via IGN).

Most of these aren’t that surprising, though it is worthy of note that both Diego and Fernando (who now go by Primo and Epico) were previously only available as part of the future stars pack in WWE 2K16, but now have been upgraded to the main game’s roster from the outset. Movin on up!
The landscape of the WWE has changed immensely since the release of 2K16. More NXT stars are now part of the main roster, including names like Fin Balor, Alexa Bliss, Chad Gable and Jason Jordan, and Nia Jax. Top talent has also continued to grow in NXT, and there are many that are hopeful to see people like Shinsuke Nakamura and Bayley represented in the game.
While they were left out of last years version, fans can plan on finally seeing stars like Sasha Banks, Charlotte, and Becky Lynch make their way into the game. Still, that pales in comparison to the changes needed in the game’s multiplayer mode, something that hopefully got addressed since last year’s version.
You can view Brock Lesnar’s entrance in the video above, and don’t forget to check out the roster additions in the gallery.
WWE 2K17 releases on October 11th.
