It’s been five days since Cody Rhodes was granted his release from WWE, but that didn’t stop Rhodes from talking about what could have been.

Recently on his twitter, Rhodes, ever the comic book fan, talked about how Marvel’s recently debuted Nighthawk, with art by Ramon Villalobos was really great and praised Villalobos for designing some ring gear for him.

You can seen the gear on one of the last photos Cody posted where it looked like he was contemplating his leaving the company here on the right.

You can see the how the CR insignia makes for an almost Mandalorian symbol on the tights. He never had the chance to use them in the ring as Cody mentioned he was aiming for one last good run at himself, but in a statement said that was denied by the upper brass of the company.

Cody always had a flair for using comics and pop culture icons in his tights and costume design, even using Mr. Sinister as inspiration for WrestleMania 31 last year. With Star Wars being as big as its ever been, these would have been extremely cool to see in the ring.
