August has been a rough month for Baron Corbin. The Lone Wolf has lost Twitter wars, his Money in the Bank briefcase, his first SummerSlam match, and apparently his big WWE push. Perhaps no one will be happier to see September come. However, August has one final trick up its sleeve for Corbin.

WWE recently released a commemorative plaque capturing Corbin's big win at Money in the Bank earlier this year. It's a fine gesture and in an attempt to make the image special, WWE tried something extra:

At first glance, it just looks like the perfect thing to stick on your office wall, right? Well upon closure examination, there's something fishy about Corbin's hairline.

Hmmm. Corbin's hair looks like it picked up some extra volume. Let's get a comparison study going. Here's a photo from the actual event:

The smoking gun! Clearly, someone was instructed to add a fresh patch of hair a top the Lone Wolf's scalp. Maybe WWE thought no one would notice. Maybe they thought that no one would actually try to buy a plaque of a triumphant Baron Corbin. However, nothing escapes the tireless efforts of the Internet.

Since this will likely prove to be harmless, that gives us the green light to laugh as hard as we want. Corbin's receding hairline is tied to his character (along with his odd physique), so trying to cover it up would be like cropping out Hulk Hogan's skullet, or Stone Cold Steve Austin's goatee.

Surely a fan has already thrown this in Corbin's face via twitter. It's almost time to feel bad for the guy as he had to be counting down the hours until September. On top of all his lost opportunities (and gained hair), Corbin is believed to have garnered considerable backstage heat.

Some rumors having his cold streak coming directly from an order by John Cena, others have his poor use of Twitter putting him in WWE's dog house. Whatever it is, the sudden stop of his rapid rise says that something indeed happened.

Corbin has never been confused for a likeable guy, but August has been quite the trip. Here's to a better month for the Lone Wolf.
