The Orlando Police Department were contacted around 3 pm on Sunday after a public argument between Del Rio and a female companion turned physical.
Del Rio has not been arrested and no charges have been filed.
We can only speculate from here, but it certainly doesn't sound good. We'll keep you updated as this story develops.
Via a tweet from Paige, it appears that it was her and Del Rio who notified authorities because of an unruly fan, effectively exonerating them from any negative consequences.
WE got the cops involved. I'm crying cuz I found out bad fam news & a lady tries take a pic. She gets angry throws a drink on @PrideOfMexico— PAIGE (@RealPaigeWWE) July 10, 2017
If any more details emerge, we'll have them for you.
Del Rio made headlines earlier this morning for an expletive-ridden Instagram post where he challenged both Triple H and Xavier Woods to a fight. Here's the excerpt from that:
"Tuesday next week a bunch of p—— will be there in San Antonio. The man with the big nose and no balls, but also the p—— from the rap battle will be too. Also with no balls. Like their boss. All yes men.
I'll be in my restaurant. Starting at 10pm.
I'll be waiting for you there.17776 Blanco Road.
And after I beat the s— out of you. I'll be you a drink. Just because I'm a good man."
It was hardly a random post. This past Tuesday on SmackDown, the Usos has a rap battle against the New Day, so far so good. But when the Usos mentioned Xavier Woods' sexual escapades with Del Rio's fiance, Paige, the roof blew off the building. Twitter exploded. If Del Rio was on the edge, this made him jump.
His violent invitation specifically lands on this Tuesday for a reason - WWE is bringing SmackDown to San Antonio, Del Rio's hometown, that night.
