In a sign of just how jam-packed the WWE SummerSlam 2017 card was, the WWE RAW tag team championships were defended during the pre-show on Sunday evening.
Following up the Miztourage vs. Hardys and Jordan match (Miz pinned Jordan), as well as the Tozawa vs. Neville cruiserweight title bout (Neville is again the champion), the tag teams set out to be the final warm-up act before the actual PPV began.

Here’s hoping you were actually watching the kickoff show just minutes before SummerSlam went on the air, because viewers were treated to an absolute delight. Easily one of the best WWE tag team matches of the year. The Usos and New Day (Big E and Xavier Woods) absolutely tore down the house. Though everyone was tremendous in the bout, this was a big-time coming out party for Xavier Woods, who was particularly on fire.

All kinds of creative moves throughout the match, including Big E powerboming Woods on to the Usos, followed by Xavier deadlifting Big E on top of his shoulders and throwing E on top of them.
The match came to a conclusion following Big E eating several superkicks. The Usos then nailed simultaneous splashes from the top rope to get the pinfall.

It’s good to see the Usos get a second run with the tag team titles, as they have really came into their own this year. You’d be hard to find anyone or any team that has reinvented themselves better in 2017 than the Usos.
Tag team wrestling is alive and well in the WWE. Bravo to both of these teams.
