Jinder Mahal is still your WWE Champion, but he didn’t do it by himself. He didn’t do it with the typical help of the Sing Brothers, either. It was The Great Khali.
You read that correctly. The Great Khali was back on WWE programming.

Right as Orton looked to have finally freed himself of Mahal and the Singh Brothers, a familiar theme music hit. Right on cue, out walks The Great Khali. Orton, like all of us, was frozen in disbelief. While Orton couldn’t make a decision, Khali closed on him and would eventually climb the cage and wrap his massive hands around The Viper’s throat. With his competition neutralized, Mahal scurried over the cage for the win.
The match itself kept a brooding pace that saw both Orton and Mahal lay methodical punishment on one another. Of all the beatings that were handed out, perhaps none were stiffer than the Singh Brothers received.
Yes, Jinder Mahal beat Randy Orton for the third straight pay-per-view, but the real streak is Randy Orton’s PPV punishment on the Singh brothers. Samir Singh met Orton at the top of the bamboo cage and it wasn’t long until Orton sent him on a nasty fall that could collapse an announcer’s table. It was the true highlight of the match. Other than Khali, of course.
Dear @SinghBrosWWE,
Bye-bye.

More: Randy Orton’s Advice to Jinder Mahal: Care Less
Where do we go from here? Well, for Orton, it could be anywhere. It could be RAW. It could be a few months vacation. It could be AJ Styles. There isn’t a bad guess.
Mahal, although he’ll remain at the top of WWE’s card, who he’ll be facing is a mystery. Smart money would be on John Cena for a nice patriotic feud leading into SummerSlam. However, WWE just gave us a nice dose of USA-USA tonight and may feel that another America vs. Everybody would be a little much. Then again, maybe not.
While it’s safe to assume we’ve seen the last of Khali for a while don’t rule out him sticking around to eat a big SummerSlam Attitude Adjustment next month.
