It looks like Roman Reigns may be facing repercussions for nearly killing Braun Strowman at Great Balls of Fire. For those that missed, Reigns locked The Monster Among Men into an ambulance and crashed the vehicle rear-end first into a concrete wall.

Both men walked away free of mortal wounds and until recently it looked like Reigns would not face any consequences from WWE. However, in a write up on their website, WWE hinted at Roman Reigns being reprimanded for his actions.

From WWE:

Does Reigns deserve a Universal Championship Match?

"Roman Reigns proclaimed himself the No. 1 contender to whomever won the Brock Lesnar-Samoa Joe Universal Title match at WWE Great Balls of Fire because it's his yard and he calls the shots. However, it is simply not as cut and dry as all that heading into tonight's edition of Monday Night Raw.

First off, considering that The Big Dog failed to overcome Braun Strowman in their hellacious Ambulance Match, does he deserve a Universal Title opportunity?

Move over, after Reigns took things way too far by crashing the ambulance into another vehicle with The Monster Among Men in the back in the aftermath of their contest, it would stand to reason that Raw General Manager Kurt Angle would be ready to hold The Guy accountable rather than reward him with a title match at The Biggest Party of the Summer."

More: Another Reason Why Braun Strowman is WWE's Can't Miss Attraction

Perhaps Reigns' explosive episode cost him his Universal Championship match or possibly a suspension from Kurt Angle. Regardless, it looks like this will be addressed on RAW. Will Braun Strowman have a say? Will Reigns call out Brock Lesnar?

From our current perspective, it's hard to forecast where exactly WWE is heading with this angle. We've spent several articles trying to decipher whether in fact Roman Reigns actually did turn heel at Great Balls of Fire. He's since tweeted about it, sounding emphatic about his latest actions. It feels like Roman has turned but WWE's top guys tend to be polarizing. Even if he has flipped to the dark side, his reception is still likely to be 50/50.

Morality is much clearer in the case of Braun Strowman who will be universally cheered whenever he appears on WWE cameras again. Don't be surprised if he misses tonight's Raw as WWE has plenty of hot angles at the moment and could benefit by keeping a vengeful Monster stewing an extra week.
