According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Carmella may be joining the cast of Total Divas for the show's upcoming season. She may potentially be replacing long-time TD cast member Paige, whose role with both the E! Network show and the WWE are up in the air following the events a turbulent past year.

We already know that Renee Young and Eva Marie will not be returning for the reality show's next season. As previously reported, they will be replaced by WWE women's division stars Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax as new additions to the Total Divas cast.

At this point, the strongest evidence of Carmella joining the cast came in the form of an Instagram post by Maryse two weeks ago of herself and Carmella. We know Maryse and her husband The Miz still be regular features on Total Divas.

But does the hash-tag #TotalDivas indicate that Carmella will in fact be a full-time addition to the show? Or will she merely appear in a walk-on as a guest of the "Hollywood A-Listers"? Will we possibly see James Ellsworth, Big Cass, and Bo Dallas hobnobbing with the Bellas, Daniel Bryan and John Cena?

Carmella is of course having a banner year. The Princess of Staten Island *technically* won both the first and second-ever Women's Money in the Bank ladder matches, emerging as Ms. Money in the Bank.

Paige on the other hand...not so much. She was the victim of cyber-hacking and subject of scandal following the leak of private photos and video. Her status with WWE, Total Divas, and in her relationship with fiance and former WWE star Alberto Del Rio all remain uncertain. But she will soon grace the big screen as the subject of the upcoming major motion picture about her life story "Fighting With My Family," which is being produced by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Will these casting changes result in more of a shake-up for the E! Network reality show than the WWE's recent "superstar shake-up"? We'll just have to see!
