Breast cancer is scary, but it's so important to talk about because it's a matter of life or death for many people. Some people get uncomfortable talking about breast cancer because early detection requires a very close relationship with our own bodies and intimate self-examination.

One woman opened up about her own personal experience with breast cancer, and how she discovered it by knowing her body's every private detail.

When Kylie Armstrong went to the doctor and mentioned that her breast looked a little different than normal, she didn't expect anything major. She lifted up her breast to reveal three hardly visible dimples underneath her breast.

"I felt no lump," Armstrong said. "The GP felt no lump."

As a precaution, Armstrong was sent to get a mammogram. There were no obvious signs of breast cancer, so she was asked to have an ultrasound as an extra precaution.

That's when the shocking diagnosis was discovered.

"The ultrasound found the cancer deep in my breast close to the muscle," said Armstrong.

Armstrong took to Facebook to spread the word about her own breast cancer diagnosis in hopes that her unusual diagnosis could save others' lives. Breast cancer may not be a lump or a bump.

She wrote, "Please take a good look at this photo. These 3 very, very subtle DIMPLES on the bottom of this breast are a sign of BREAST CANCER! This is what MY BREAST CANCER looks like."

Armstrong wants people to know that any change in your breast is a reason to go to the doctor because "It could save your life."
