5 Movies to Stream on Netflix This Labor Day Weekend

With the long Labor Day weekend finally upon us, amidst all the grilling out and fun in the sun you’re planning to have, it’s good to have some great movies lined up to stream on Netflix for when you just want to relax a little more.

Labor Day isn’t like other U.S. holidays that have a specific genre of film that you need to celebrate with.

Halloween has scary movies (Halloween, Friday the 13th) and the winter holidays have their own brand of heart-warming cinema (A Christmas Story, The Santa Clause).

Then on holidays like the Fourth of July and Memorial Day, it’s always good to kick back with something patriotic, like Saving Private Ryan or The Patriot.

Even Valentine’s Day has romantic comedies and love stories for people to take in.

Moana

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Doctor Strange

The Disappointments Room

Pete’s Dragon

Mr. Meacham is a woodcarver who regales all the local children with tall-tales of a hidden dragon that lives deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest.

Grace, his daughter, believes these are just silly stories. This is, until she meets Pete.

Pete is a 10-year-old orphan who claims to live in those woods with a very giant, but very friendly, dragon.

Grace enlists the help of a young girl named Natalie, and together they set out to explore if Pete’s unbelievable claim could possibly be true.
