'DWTS' Ends in Shock Elimination After 'Closest Vote Yet'

Co-host Alfonso Ribeiro called it the "closest vote yet" as it went right down to the second voting closed, sending another couple home.

Dancing With the Stars' emotional "Most Memorable Year" Night has gotten even more emotional after sending another couple home. The series kicked off with a touching tribute to late judge Len Goodman, bringing back a handful of former pros to pay homage to his ballroom background with "Moon River." The remaining couples then recounted their most memorable year, some good and some bad, but every one just as emotional. The couples gave it their all but even so, it didn't help one of them. The night got more emotional as yet another couple was eliminated, and it came as close as ever.

Alfonso Ribeiro revealed it was the closest vote this season, and it went right up to the second voting closed. It ended up being between Alyson Hannigan (Sasha Farber), Harry Jowsey (Rylee Arnold), and Mira Sorvino (Gleb Savchenko). Sorvino and Savchenko were unfortunately sent home. The duo danced a Contemporary, with Sorvino's memorable year being 2004, the year her daughter was born. They received a 22 out of 30, but it just wasn't enough. Despite the close votes, they were eliminated.

As for the remaining celebrities, Ariana Madix (Pasha Pashkov), Charity Lawson (Artem Chigvintsev), Hannigan (Farber), Jowsey (Arnold), Jason Mraz (Daniella Karagach), Lele Pons (Brandon Armstrong), Xochitl Gomez (Val Chmerkovskiy), Mauricio Umansky (Emma Slater), and Barry Williams (Peta Murgatroyd), they are all going to have to really bring it if they want to take home the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. The couples are dwindling down, and soon, there will only be one standing. Fans will want to tune in every Tuesday to try to keep their favorites in. It really is all up to the fans, as proven by the close votes.

Next week on Halloween will be Halloween-themed, of course. It will be Monster Night on DWTS, meaning that everyone is going to look their best and their worst in the hopes of staying in the ballroom. It's going to be scary and getting even more intense. Fewer and fewer couples are competing for the coveted and newly renamed Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. It's going to be even more special to win this season, and it's going to be exciting to see who comes out on top. Make sure to tune in every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and on Disney+.
