Christina Anstead has officially filed for divorce from her estranged husband Ant Anstead. According to Us Weekly, Anstead filed the paperwork in an Orange County, California courthouse. At this time, it does not appear that either she or Ant have commented on the filing.
The formal filing comes two months after Anstead revealed that she and Ant had split. “Ant and I have made the difficult decision to separate,” she wrote alongside a photo of the pair on Instagram. “We are grateful for each other and as always, our children will remain our priority. We appreciate your support and ask for privacy for us and our family as we navigate the future.”

According to a previous Us Weekly report, close friends of the now-former couple were quite “shocked” at the news of their breakup, as most seemed to believe that everything was going well for the two of them. “Christina and Ant have been very private about this and friends are shocked to hear the news because they seemed happy together publicly and while in front of others,” an insider told the outlet.
Following the split announcement, Ant joined Breakup Recovery Recipe, a month-long program that helps people through the complicated and painful transition of a split. BRR claims to help individuals “grieve your relationship so you can let it go,” and “regain your identity.” In a post on his Instagram Stories, Ant spoke about what the program has done for him. “I am now on day 30 of this and I have to say it’s been a lifeline for me!” he wrote. “If anyone out there needs this, DO IT!”

While Ant sought support from BRR to help him through the breakup, In Touch Weekly reported that Anstead has been getting most of her support from her first ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa. A source revealed to the outlet that El Moussa “is being very supportive” of his ex-wife, as is his new fiancรฉe. “He’s there for her and so is his fiancรฉe, Heather [Rae Young], who feels bad for Christina and completely understands Tarek supporting his ex during this time,” the source said. “Tarek loves Hudson like if he was his own.”
