Jenelle Evans Defends Her Son's Violent Outbursts

Jenelle Evans has had an ongoing custody battle with her mother over Jace, Evans' 8-year-old son. Now, the Teen Mom 2 cast member believes his recent violent outbursts are because he misses his mother.

In a deleted scene from the show's eighth season, Evans can be seen seen eating with her fiancé David Eason. As they make plans for family photos, she informs him of Jace's recent misbehavior at school and home.

"He freaked out at school and he threw something at my mom, and like busted her nose," she says. "And she doesn't understand why he's freaking out, and she calls me and says 'Oh, he's being bad' and everything. And then I'm like 'Well, I got my hands tied. What do you want me to do? I'm not there to discipline him, and you don't let me have him.'"

She then gives her reading of his behavior, saying it's all because he wants to be with Evans and his siblings.

"I feel bad for him because no one knows the truth, and they're believing my mom," she says. "I know the truth. I know why he's freaking out. He's freaking out because he wants to live here."

At the end of the day, Evans is just worried that Jace's bad behavior and anger is also directed at her, and doesn't want her relationship with him to be damaged.

"I don't want him to think that I don't care because I'm trying everything in my power."
