10 Things We Want To See In 2017

With the year 2016 coming to close, it’s time to look towards the future.

Like most people, the staff at Pop Culture Now is hoping for a awesome 2017, and we have compiled a list of things that we definitely want to see happen this coming year. If these ten things come to fruition, it will more than likely make for an incredible year.

Here’s our list of 10 things we want to see in 2017.

Charlie Hunnam Cameo in Mayans MC

Ever since Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter announced that he was planning a new spin-off called Mayans MC, fans of the original FX show have been hoping to hear confirmation that lead actor Charlie Hunnam will make a cameo in the offshoot series.

All of our SOA hopes and dreams will come true if Sutter and crew can figure out a way to get the 36-year-old actor to make an appearance in Mayans MC, and it sounds like he is totally down to do it.

Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna Wedding

Given that 2016 has been an extremely tumultuous year for Rob and Chyna, we are hoping that the two will tie the knot in 2017.

Blac Chyna and her fiancé Rob Kardashian just became parents to their adorable baby girl, Dream Kardashian, and we can’t help but hope that the E! reality couple gets hitched this coming year.

Despite the fact that they recently had an epic blowout fight, the latest reports in the rumor mill are saying that Rob and Chyna are possibly going to get married in the late spring or early summer.

 

Donald Trump Stop Tweeting

Now that former Apprentice star Donald Trump has won the presidency, there is one thing that we want from him other than making American great again: stop tweeting!

The billionaire real estate mogul has gotten himself into hot water with his frequent and often incendiary tweets. Because he has already won the Presidential election, it’s fair to say that most everyone would be better served if Mr. Trump would devote all of his time and focus into running the country instead of going on a Twitter rant about Saturday Night Live.

 

Kim Kardashian Robbers Caught

During a trip to Paris back in October, Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint at her hotel. The thieves bound her up, placed her in the bathtub, and made off with millions of dollars worth of her jewelry.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was understandably rattled by the terrifying ordeal, and has since stayed out of the public eye save for a few occasions. Unfortunately, the investigators on the case mentioned just this week that they are nowhere closer to findings the culprits than they were a couple months ago. What we are hoping for in 2016 is for the robbers to be caught, and for the 36-year-old reality star to make her social media return.

 

Taylor Swift To Find Love

As per usual, Taylor Swift’s love life has been one of the hottest topics in pop culture news this past year. She broke up with her DJ boyfriend Calvin Harris, and briefly entertained a whirlwind romance with Avengers star Tom Hiddleston.

Now that the “Blank Space” singer is once again single, we hope that 2017 is the year that the 27-year-old pop superstar finally finds true and lasting love. Of course, if Taylor goes through a few more breakups then she will likely drop another fiery album like 1989, but that’s beside the point.

 

Brad and Angelina Get Back Together

The world was shocked when Hollywood superstars Brad and Angelina filed for divorce earlier this year. The two have six children together and were one of the world’s most influential power couples for the 12 years they were together.

Unfortunately, their relationship took a turn for the worst after an incident on the family’s private jet plane. 

We hope this year that Brad and Angelina can make amends, and work out their issues. The two were the definition of couples’ goals for years, and we hope they will be able to make things right between them for the sake of their kids.

 

JonBenet Ramsey Murder Solved

The JonBenet Ramsey murder investigation has perplexed detectives and the media for two decades now. Most shockingly, the case regarding the murder of the 6-year-old beauty pageant contestant has seen some astounding new developments in this past year, and from the sounds of things, law enforcement officials might finally be close to catching the killer.

New DNA technology has been created that could potentially bust the case wide open. What we would like to see in the next year is for the law enforcement officers to solve the mystery, and bring JonBenet Ramsey’s murderer to justice.

 

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth Get Married

Pop superstar Miley Cyrus and Hunger Games actor Liam Hemsworth have been engaged for years now. We hope that the celebrity couple will finally tie the knot in 2017. 

The two have reportedly been eyeing wedding destinations, but they are being extremely tight-lipped about the entire planning process.

“Miley’s usually really open, but this is one thing she’s being secretive about,” a source close to Miley Cyrus said. “She doesn’t want any of the details getting out. She’s sworn her family to secrecy. They’ve all made a pact not to say anything.”

Even though they are keeping the entire operation under wraps, we can still hope that the two finally get hitched this coming year.

Kylie Jenner Get Her Own Reality Show

Kylie Jenner has been taking the world by storm this past year. The 19-year-old model has become one of the most followed people on social media, and we would love to see the Lip Kit creator get her own reality show. 

Even though she has appeared on her family’s ongoing series Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kylie Jenner seems primed and ready to be the focus of her own show. Judging by her Instagram account, Kylie is living a seriously glamorous life, and we would love to get more in-depth look. 

 

No More Celebrity Deaths!

While this technically classifies as something that we DON’T want to see, we definitely don’t want to see any more celebrity deaths. 

In 2016, a slew of celebrities passed away way too soon. To name a few David Bowie, Prince, Alan Thicke, Carrie Fisher, Debbie Reynolds, and a bevy of other stars died in the last 365 days.
