Dubbed The College Dropout Tour, BTR, consisting of Carlos PenaVega, James Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Kendall Schmidt, was set to play at college campuses across the country beginning on Jan. 24 in Champaign, Illinois, and going through Feb. 13 in Lincoln, Nebraska. The 15-date set would have also included openers, fellow Big Time Rush co-stars Katelyn Tarver and Stephen Kramer Glickman, who have been opening for the boys since the start of the tour over the summer.

โTo all our fans, after an incredible year on the road across both the US and Europe, we headed home to rest and recover over the holidays,โ the band shared on their Instagram Stories via The Schottenstein Center for Ohio State. โThe tour has taken a toll, and on doctors orders we need to pause to focus on our overall health as weโve all sustained some form of prolonged illness and injuries.โ
They went on to say that they have to cancel the U.S. college dates โwith hopes to reschedule these shows in the future.โ The tour will resume on Feb. 17 in Mexico. Those who purchased tickets to one of the canceled dates will be refunded through point of purchase. โThank you for your love, patience, and support. We canโt wait to see you on the road again in a few months.โ

News of the canceled dates comes just over a month after Henderson suffered an injury on stage. During a concert in Poland in November, Henderson hit his leg and had to go to the hospital. Although he was back on stage a few nights later, videos from the remaining concerts of the European leg, which concluded on Dec. 22 in Copenhagen, show Henderson performing but not moving around as much as PenaVega, Schmidt, and Maslow performed around him.
Refunds have started rolling in for the canceled dates, and as of now, they have not been rescheduled. The In Real Life Worldwide Tour, where Big Time Rush is performing every song from every episode of their Nickelodeon series, starts back up on Tuesday, Feb. 17 in Guadalajara, Mexico. Shows will be across Mexico, South America, Australia, the UAE, Japan, and Hawaii through March 30.
