A North Carolina couple has welcomed twin boys after losing both of their children in a car crash two years ago, WCNC reports.

Gentry and Hadley Eddings lost their 2-year-old son, Dobbs, after a car accident on their way home from a wedding. Hadley, who was 38 weeks pregnant at the time, gave birth to baby Reed after the accident, with the newborn passing just days later.

The couple announced Monday via WBTV that they welcomed twin boys, naming their newborns Isaiah Dobbs and Amos Reed, honoring the children they lost with the boys' middle names.

"I had missed being a mom from day one but around this summer I thought, we're getting to that point where it ok for me to be pregnant and I want to have more babies," Hadley explained. "And I don't want to continue to live this life without being a mom again."
