Pokemon Go Mashed Up With David Attenborough Goes Viral

British broadcaster David Attenborough has a way of making the most minute and at times obvious details mesmerizing. It's the calm steadiness of his tone that endears confidence from the viewer or listener that he is knowledgeable about which he speaks.

It turns out that same level of narration can work similar magic on Pokemon GO, as Lovin Dublin displays in a new video. Attenborough's narration is played over the top of the digital phenomenon, and the results are fantastic.

Take his first thought for instance, which explains the idea of a hunting ground. "Hunting animals need hunting grounds, and that inevitably brings them into conflict with humanity. " Okay, it's a rather obvious point, but it sounds incredibly deep when he says it.

Another example is when he refers to the "top predator".

"Until human beings devised weapons for themselves, this was the most powerful killer on earth. The top predator. Few creatures could escape it. Nothing could threaten it, but that has now changed."

The killer in question? A Charmander. Yeah, not as intimidating as you might think, but looks can be deceiving. He also points out how obnoxious the process is of catching a Zubat, and quite accurately I might add. They even include a video.

"Bats, with their fluttering zigzag flight, are not easy targets."

Once the lone Zubat is caught, though, Attenborough gives a pointed and somewhat sad conclusion to the whole ordeal.

"That is one bat that will not return to the roost tonight."

Kind of makes you feel a bit bad about trapping him in the first place right?

No? Maybe that is just me. Either way, the video is an entertaining watch and goes to show that Attenborough could narrate just about anything and make it watchable.
