Country superstar, Luke Bryan recently admitted his fame comes with some benefits, especially when it comes to getting out of speeding tickets.
In an interview with ET Canada while promoting Canada’s hottest country music festival, Boots and Hearts, Bryan revealed he sort of used his celebrity status to get out of paying a speeding ticket.

While fishing in Wyoming a few weeks ago with his two boys, Bo, 9, and Tate, 7, Bryan says he had to break away from family time because he was scheduled to perform at Frontier Days, a festival in Cheyenne.
“My bus driver [and I] used a rental car to run over to Cheyenne. It was about a three-hour drive,” Bryan said of the incident. “I’ve never had him drive me around in a regular car, and it’s Wyoming, I mean, the speed limits like 80mph out there. So, we were going along pretty good.”
He adds that as they started to pull over, he realized they didn’t have the proper papers because they were in a rental car. Though Bryan wasn’t the one driving the vehicle, law enforcement ended up approaching the singer situated in the passenger seat, instead of his driver.
“We pull over and he comes to my side of the vehicle,” he explains. “So, I’m like, ‘Oh, yes. We’re getting out of this!’”
And as the 41-year-old reveals, they let the window down as the officer walked up to them.
“He’s like, ‘Where are you guys going?’ I’m like, ‘Well I’m performing tonight over at Cheyenne Frontier Days โฆ. I’m Luke Bryan,’” he said.
While he might not have really explained who he was, all it took was for Bryan to share his full name with the officer and share whereabouts they were heading for him to be immediately recognized.
“‘Oh dude!’ he goes. So we get out of the ticket,” Luke added with a laugh. “It was nice.”
