Chris Pratt and Anna Faris shocked fans everywhere when they announced this week that they were separating after eight years of marriage, and it appears Pratt has decided to update his social media presence in the wake of the announcement, changing his Facebook profile photo several times on one day, much to the confusion of social media users.
Prior to the announcement, Pratt’s profile shot was a photo of himself and co-star Dave Bautista in Guardians of the Galaxy 2. On Aug. 7, Pratt’s photo was first changed to a shot of the actor fishing on the water, holding up his catch.

Showing off his fisherman skills?
Next, the shot was switched to a close-up shot of Pratt and a fish, with the star proudly displaying the animal.
Pratt has long shared his love of the outdoors with fans and is an avid hunter and fisherman.
Trying to remain calm during the Faris split?
Finally, both Pratt’s profile picture and cover photo were changed to a serene sunset shot.
Naturally, fans were a bit confused over the situation, with many taking to the comments to share their thoughts.
“We’re still sad don’t try to distract with random pics,” wrote one person. Another user noted that Pratt’s previous cover photo, which has been removed, was a shot of himself and Faris kissing.
Many fans offered their support during the difficult time.
“Stay strong the 3 of you,” one user wrote. “Be there for your child. He’s the only one who really matters anyway. Good luck.”
“I’m sorry to hear about you and Anna,” commented another. “I hope you both find peace and happiness.”
Pratt, who shares son Jack with Faris, posted the separation announcement on his Facebook page on Aug. 6.
“Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating,” the pair’s statement read. “We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”
