After a glamorous, star-studded wedding this past month in Idaho, Dancing With the Stars judge, Julianne Hough and NHL pro husband, Brooks Laich are having the ultimate honeymoon.

After enjoying a relaxing few days on an enviable, sunny beach getaway in Seychelles, East Africa, the newlyweds decided it was time for a little adventure โ€” and boy did they know where to spend the second part of their honeymoon.

If their wedding on Lake Coeur d’Alene was any indication of their love for the outdoors, their honeymoon would definitely deliver.

Checking into the Angama Mara safari lodge, the two lovebirds reveled in an exotic, romantic getaway full of natural beauties amid the national reserve wilderness of Maasai Mara in Kenya, South Africa.

Hough, 29, and Laich, 34, witnessed incredible beauties while on their African safari. With the dancing pro taking to Instagram to chronicle their all their marital bliss, the two spotted an elephant, traveled in a hot-air balloon and had a picnic with a beautiful breakfast feast.

With their adventure beginning last week in the South African plains, Hough and husband, Laich traveled all across Maasai Mara and certainly dressed the part. With the 29-year-old beauty wearing a mustard colored midi dress with terrain boots and a sunhat, she shared her first snap with the caption, “Here we go…. Let the adventure begin!”

The preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border is full of the world’s most natural wonders, including animals like, lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos.

Evidenced from the couple’s photographs shared to their Instagram, the landscape has incredible grassy plains and rolling hills. Not to mention, the Maasai Mara crosses the Mara and Talek rivers. For tourists, it’s also a very remarkable area as it is lined with villages, known as the enkangs, full of Maasai people.

Joining the Jambo Savannah Safari, the two reveled in a private getaway alongside a tour guide as they visited the area. Hough shared an image to her Instagram of her sitting on the tree trunk, while Laich shared a shot of him resting with a sunhat.

While visiting the Maasai Mara, Hough and Laich also stayed at the Angama Mara, an outstanding owner-run safari lodge inspired by the Swahili word for “suspended in mid-air.” As per their website, the lodges are located high above the floor of Africa’s Great Rift Valley and overlooks the Maasai Mara.

The two also went on to have lovely breakfast while sitting among the savannah grasses and blue skies.

The couple also had the chance to sight-see via a hot-air balloon, with Hough sharing an image of herself gazing with binoculars towards the wildlife reserve. Captioning the image, with the hashtag, “game changer,” Hough wrote, “My only form of transportation from here on out guys.”

For a bird’s eye view of the Maasai Mara and overlooking the plains, the hot-air balloon makes for anย absolutely magical experience. The couple spent one hour floating over the savannah and we can guarantee it filled them with enough memories to last a lifetime.

Before heading home and back stateside, Hough and Laich snapped a shot with theirย safari guide, Stefan Winterboer of Wild Earth, while dressed in head to toe with safari gear.

Laich captioned the image by expressing his gratitude to the three and thanking them for an inside look at the production ofย SafariLIVE,ย which airs every Friday onย National Geographic Channel.
